Acolens
Acolens uses mathematical variance analysis to detect how far the lens deviates from ideal performance in respect of geometric distortion, vignetting and lack of focus towards the edges. It has preset lens profiles and facilities for making your own profiles with the addition of the Acolens Reference Chart. Each profile can then be used for making corrections to the various kinds of geometric distortion caused by that individual lens.
Comment
Optically sound and easy to use, Acolens won the "Photokina Star - Highlight of Photokina 2006" award from German photography magazines "digit!" and "Photo Presse." It takes a completely objective approach to correcting distortions, vignetting, and focus falloff toward the edges of the image. Photographers can calibrate their individual lenses using the "Acolens" Reference Chart. It is a very useful product for architectural photographers.
