Sandra Professional
Sandra stands for "System ANalyser, Diagnostic and Reporting Assistant." It is a powerful analysis, diagnostics and benchmarking utility for testing most aspects of computer performance including that of disk drives and storage cards. It comes in many versions: Lite (for workgroups only), Pro Home, Pro Business, Engineer, Enterprise, and a Legacy version for home enthusiasts with older computers. There is now even a Portable version.
Widely used by the world's computer press for testing new hardware, Sandra has over 5,000 on-line reviews to prove it. I've included it for photographers who run large systems because it's a great utility for making sure your system or network is functioning properly. What is more: it can test individual disk drives and storage cards. It can check, for example, if a storage card is genuine by measuring its performance.
