Sketch Master
From Russian plugin developer Redfield Plugins, Sketch Master, is real-time photo manipulation software that lets you turn a photo into an image that looks as if it has been drawn with traditional tools such as pencil, pen, crayon, or charcoal. There are separate settings for strokes, lines, and backgrounds, generating what appears to be a very good likeness of the sitter drawn by hand.
With Sketch Master you can import different textures to represent the surface on which the artwork is supposed to be drawn, using the built-in effects for canvas, leather, crepe, rag paper and squared (graph) paper. If you click on the random generator, called Dice, you can create images with random settings.
Comment
This is one art simulator that can certainly be used by professional graphic artists. The interface is by no means perfect and could possibly be laid out in a more logical way, but the software is not hard to use.
With practice, you can get some attractive results using this plugin, as demonstrated by the excellent pictures on the vendor's site.
