American Society of Picture Professionals
The American Society of Picture Professionals (ASPP) is a nationwide organization of professionals who produce, sell, edit, catalog and use photographic imagery.
It numbers around 800 members: photographers, photo researchers, photo editors, stock agents, museum curators, librarians, historians, archivists, designers and writers.
Publications
ASPP is an entirely volunteer organization with just four paid positions, but it produces a quarterly full color magazine, "The Picture Professional," a monthly electronic newsletter, job listings, book reviews, and an informative website.
Find a pro
ASPP has a search facility on its website called "Find a Pro" that lets you browse a list of members with onward links to their own websites. This yet another great way to find great pictures online -- or a photographer for your next project.
