CAPIC
Founded in 1978, the Canadian Association of Photographers and Illustrators in Communications (CAPIC) works on behalf of people in the communications industry, including photographers, illustrators and digital artists.
It has 6 chapters and a membership of over 1000. Local networking is a major benefit of joining.
Publications
The association's output includes editorial, advertising, education, books, brochures and periodicals.
Contests
CAPIC holds many photographic competitions, such as the recent "Rodeo - Rounding up Canada's Best Student Talent." You can see the winners of these competitions on the CAPIC website galleries.
