FACTS
A nonprofit organization, founded in 1994, FACTS (Fine Art Care and Treatment Standards) develops information and standards dealing with art "from conception to conservation."
It publishes guidelines about such subjects as archiving and framing, basing its recommendations on reliable research.

FACTS is listed in the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) catalog of standards-setting organizations and approved by the PPFA.
Resources
The FACTS website carries freely available information about art shipping, conservation, color permanence, and general aspects of art care including such useful advice as: "Glue Sticks: Are they safe?" and "Is pith paper dangerous?"
