Imaging Science and Technology
The (society for) Imaging Science and Technology is an international non-profit organization, based in Springfield, VA, that seeks to inform its members about the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of imaging.
Activities
IS&T does this through conferences, journals and other publications. Areas of specific focus are silver halide, digital printing, electronic imaging, photofinishing, image preservation, image assessment, pre-press technologies and hybrid imaging systems.
Resources
IS&T has partnered with John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. to develop a series of books to advance the latest scientific and technological developments in the field of imaging. It produces many other publications including IS&T Reporter and the Journal of Electronic Imaging. Other resources include conference proceedings and an online library with more than 16,000 papers that can be downloaded as individual PDFs.
