Inter-Society Color Council
Founded in 1931, the Inter-Society Color Council (ISCC) is a leading professional society in the field of color in the United States. It holds conferences, including the IS&T/SID Color Imaging Conference, held in collaboration with The Society for Imaging Science and Technology.
Benefits
Among the benefits of joining the ISCC are a subscription to ISCC News and a 50% discount on Color Research & Application (which is sufficient by itself to pay for the ISCC membership). You also get reduced conference fees when you attend ISCC-sponsored conferences.
Hue Angles
Online ISCC resources include the Hue Angles blog, formerly a column in ISCC News. It has many contributors, is moderated, and "almost any color-related topic is fair game." Topics have included "How to measure color using a beer cooler" and "Color in wetland preservation."
