Imaging Society of Japan
Founded in 1958 as The Society of Electrophotography of Japan (SEPJ), the ISJ has become a key organization in the field of imaging science and technology in Japan.
History
In the mid-1980s the ISJ turned its attention to non-impact printing, including photo-grade technology. It has many specialist committees; holds symposia, plus the annual Imaging Conference Japan.
Resources in English
A brave attempt has been made to translate some of the pages of the ISJ's website, but as it explains "Many of Information will be written in Japanese for Domestic Society Members" (sic). Fortunately, the test charts need little explanation.
