Photo Imaging Council
The Photo Imaging Council (PIC) represents UK-based companies on the supply side of the photo-imaging sector, an industry worth an estimated £4 billion to the British economy. PIC and Water UK have jointly produced a Code of Practice for the Care of the Environment (COPPICE).
Members
Among the members of PIC are leading manufacturers, importers, exporters and photo waste companies. Major trade and professional associations work closely with the organisation. PIC interests range across cameras, film, memory cards, photo printers, chemicals, minilabs, accessories, specialist services and professional photography.
Activities
Founded in 2002 from four other organizations, PIC lobbies government and makes small grants to student photographers, such as the £1,000 given to the winner of the The Photo Imaging Council Award 2006/2007.
