Photo Marketing Association International
The Photo Marketing Association International (PMAI) represents more than 20,000 photo imaging retailers and processors in over 100 countries. Many related trade groups (representing consultants, technicians, educators, laboratories, picture framers, etc.), have become sections of the PMAI. It has offices in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Latin America, New Zealand, Russia, and the United Kingdom.
Activities
PMAI publishes 14 specialized newsletters, conducts two conventions in the U.S. each year, including the world's largest annual photo imaging event (PMA International Convention & Trade Show), and many smaller ones. It also offers a full range of educational services and resources, including live seminars, CD packages and self-instructional print materials.
PMA Trade Show
The PMA International Convention & Trade Show ("The Ultimate Event of Everything Photo") is one of the highlights of the photographic events calendar. Its only main international rival is Photokina in Cologne, Germany (which is even larger, but bi-annual).
