Society for Information Display
The Society for Information Display (SID) is an international organization of 6,000+ professionals who are engaged in display research, design, manufacturing, applications, marketing, and sales. It focuses exclusively on the advancement of electronic-display technology. Its global headquarters are in Campbell, California.
Activities
SID hosts more than ten conferences a year, including an annual showcase event called Display Week, that brings emerging companies, display giants, industry and academia all under one roof to demonstrate leading-edge technology.
Publications
SID's publications include "Information Display Magazine," "Journal of the SID," "SID-Wiley Series in Display Technology," and many technical papers presented at conferences. Its annual Industry Directory provides detailed information on 750 companies selling everything from anti-reflection coatings through large-screen monitors to venture-capital services.
