Society of Photographic Science and Technology of Japan
Founded in 1926, the SPSTJ is active in the fields of optics, camera, photosensitive materials, photographic processing, image evaluation, image processing, image analysis, image preservation, history of photography, photographic expression and photographic education. In Japan it is recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Activities
SPSTJ publishes the "Journal of Photographic Science and Technology," organizes many meetings and symposia, some of which it holds jointly with the IS&T in the US.
Resources
The SPSTJ website has extensive resources, but not many of them are available in English. However, it is well illustrated and enough of it can be machine translated with Google language tools to make at least some of it understandable.
