Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers
The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers is a highly active organization, based in the UK, that promotes the interests of practially all photographers -- not just those who take weddings and portraits. Its title has become a little misleading, but was retained after the merger with British Professional Photographers Associates (BPPA). It runs the very well attended SWPP Convention, held each year, in London, in January. Overseas members are welcome to this fast-growing organization.
Members
Among the members of SWPP are photographers working as freelances and photojournalists, and those specializing in weddings, portraits, children, animal, equestrian, digital, commercial, fashion & glamour, landscape, nature, sport, medical, scientific, press, PR, architectural, industrial, forensic and natural history. Lecturers, researchers and digital imaging technicians also belong to it.
