SuperDuper!
Its strapline is "Heroic System Recovery for Mere Mortals" and it comes with an exclamation mark. SuperDuper! creates a perfect copy of your hard drive on an external drive, allowing you to reboot immediately from the external disk. It takes around ten minutes to backup 50GB data, and performs updates even when another backup application has carried out the initial cloning operation.
SuperDuper! uses the "exclude" model of backing-up and is a very useful alternative to Apple's Backup utility.
