Advanced Color Corrector
Created by artists, for artists, Advanced Color Corrector is a high-end, variable-platform color correction/manipulation tool that features many powerful color processing tools arranged in a single, large panel. The idea behind this is to eliminate the time wasted jumping from one tool panel to another when you apply various color effects -- which is the typical work pattern dictated by most conventional packages.
Advanced Color Corrector includes nearly all the known color models (RGB, HSL, CMY, LAB, YUV, YIQ, YcbCr, XYZ, etc.) in order to satisfy all users -- some of whom have their favorite color space that may not be represented in popular editing software. Typical color manipulation effects such as posterize and solarize are included, although the main purpose of the software is to increase the lifelike appearance of subjects rather than to distort it. The software has many industry-standard RGB to grayscale conversion algorithms and a "pixel processing" engine provides custom-written color processing algorithms that can be combined with other adjustments.
Comment
Advanced Color Corrector looks a little old-fashioned and its documentation still refers to "Jasc Paint Shop Pro" (long since a Corel product), but if you can overcome the retro feel you will not be disappointed by it. The results you can get are remarkably good. Bear in mind, however, that you need to calibrate your monitor carefully, otherwise all the effort you put into using advanced color tools can easily be wasted.
