Focus Extender
With Focus Extender you can create images with extended depth-of-field (DoF) that would be impossible to achieve by taking a normal photograph. To do this, it lets you combine a series of photographs, selecting the in-focus area from each one. The result is a single in-focus image that can be used in science for analysis and measurement.
Focus Extender plugs into both Photoshop and Image-Pro Plus image processing & analysis software from Media Cybernetics. It is especially useful for close-up photography where DoF is limited. Actions are fully recordable so that you can treat other images in a similar fashion.

Focus Extender justifies its relatively high price by being very accurate. Aimed primarily at scientists and engineers, it is not intended for the general photographic market, although there is no reason why a photographer who specializes in macro work should not use it.
Focus Extender is completely scriptable, allowing you to quickly integrate it into your current workflow.
