PhotoMagic
PhotoMagic is a software suite aimed at the home photographer with programs to enhance, repair and improve images, including special effects and "lossless" enlargement. It has an easy-to-use interface that practically anyone can operate. It lets you enhance colors, sharpness and contrast, has noise removal facilities, and artistic tools to make photographs look like paintings. If you want to achieve traditional photographic effects in your prints it provides sepia, cyanotype, platinum, silver gelatin, kallitype, Van Dyck, palladium and many other simulations.
One key feature of PhotoMagic is the inclusion of the vendor's S-Spline algorithm, which means you can make excellent enlargements with this consumer package. This is not precisely the same algorithm used in the vendor's professional enlargement product PhotoZoom Pro, but is the original version of it which also produced very good results.
Comment
When PhotoMagic was first launched it had mixed reviews, but it certainly has some good features, especially its enlarging module. Point-and-shoot users will like its cheerful interface, useful exposure correction facility, and artistic effects.
