Photo-Plugins
The FREE Photo-Plugins collection consists of the following:
- B/W Conversion, with complete control over red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, magenta, and intermediate hues
- Selective Saturation, lets the user define a Saturation Zone by setting its center/range with two sliders
- Local Contrast Enhancement, brings out detail by heightening local contrast
- High Pass Sharpening, with adjustment of filter radius, and blending control
- Soft Focus, applies a soft focus effect for portraits or fashion
- Lens Correction, corrects barrel and pincushion distortions
- Contrast Mask, reduces overall contrast, brings out details in highlights/shadows
- Gradient Blur, to draw the viewer's attention to the photograph's main subject
Comment
The Photo-Plugins collection tends to vary in quality, B/W Conversion (for example) producing better results than Gradient Blur. However, many people have said they find them useful, according to the on-site forum.
They have the great virtue of being entirely FREE -- and they plug into many host programs, including FREE photo viewers such as IrfanView and XnView.
