ToneUp S3
ToneUp enables you to create custom curves and upload them to a Nikon DSLR. In some ways it is a low-cost alternative to Nikon Capture, as it also converts NEF RAW files for editing in Photoshop and other image processing applications, using Nikon's NEF conversion algorithm.
ToneUp allows you to perform image processing on images from any camera (not just Nikons), including adjustment of brightness, contrast, exposure, saturation, channel mixing, sharpness, color balance and white balance. Its "hot swap" feature lets you load your 5 favorite curves and switch them quickly so you can shoot with a chosen curve. With ToneUp you can change the comment field in the photo to the name of the curve: so that it shows up in Exif data. If you wish, you can make your own curves and load them, or use Nikon Capture curves from the ToneUp database.
Comment
With its online curve database and custom curve uploading, ToneUp is an unusual -- not to say exceptional piece of software. Other features include cropping, rotating, resizing, and batch processing. Compared to its illustrious competition it is excellent value.
