FastStone MaxView
FastStone MaxView may possibly be the most convenient image viewer on the planet. Because its big brother, FastStone Image Viewer, was beginning to bloat with features, the developers saw a need for a lightweight viewer without all the editing options. FastStone MaxView fills the gap. Having a borderless window together with menus and toolbars that hide automatically, it takes the "uncluttered look" to another level. Zoom features and an on-screen magnifier are well implemented, while the slide show features are the same as those in the larger product, complete with background music in MP3, WAV, MIDI or WMA format.

This astonishingly well-made utility is a joy to operate, especially in full-screen mode. Move the cursors to the corners of the screen to access menus; scroll to zoom in one mode, move to next image in another. What could be simpler or more effective?
