LensFix CI
LensFix CI is an automatic image correction package with a database of correction settings for over 500 popular cameras and lenses. In manual mode it also allows you to fix chromatic aberrations and vignetting and to alter the image perspective.
Perspective controls allow you to change the viewing angle of the image with ease. Its extensive range of camera settings is supplemented by those in the PTLens database from epaperpress.com (see that entry), which is supplied under license. Being a Universal binary LensFix CI runs natively on Power PC and Intel Macs.
Comment
LensFix CI is an improved version of the earlier LensFix software. It has been widely tested and enjoyed by many enthusiasts, who report good results from it. For a start, it is fast because it uses the video card for processing (when this is supported by the host computer), and the plugin version has full 16-bit support.
LensFix is a very effective tool that does what it claims. Although it was first introduced a few years ago, and, since that time, distortion correction has become commonplace, it is still useful if you need to make a lot of corrections. Keep an eye on the Kekus forum for bug fixes.
