Snap
Snap can separate either solid or opaque objects from a background. It works most effectively where there is a clean edge between object and background but it is not suitable for separating fine hair detail, for which the vendor has another (and more expensive) solution called EZ Mask. There are also manual path-creation facilities in Snap using X-Splines.
Comment
The vendor has dramatically reduced the price of Snap (by a third) and it is now very good value unless you have really difficult subjects to isolate from their backgrounds.
Snap is so-called because it snaps an editable curve to an object's boundary. It differs from the vendor's EZ Mask tool in not creating any changes at all in the foreground object, making it useful for hard-edged product shots where the background needs to be changed.
