PI/E

PI/E stands for "Pro Invoice/Estimate," a business management database system designed for all types of photographic business, whatever their size. Built on FileMaker Pro, it has the administrative tools needed to run a business successfully, tracking jobs from first contact right through to the final invoice and payment.

PI/E provides sales tax report generation for state and federal taxes; tracking of client sales, vendor costs, representative sales, and stock agency sales, together with all payments associated with these transactions.

You can use PI/E to track your crew and employee billings and costs, as a contact database for client contacts, and to maintain equipment inventories and schedules. It generates a huge number of different forms, reports, lists and labels for all phases of job production.

Comment

Being built on FileMaker Pro, PI/E is a stable and reliable system. Any attempt to make an equivalent solution from the tools in FileMaker would take weeks of work.

Photographers often mention in forums that there is no perfect all-in-one management solution for them, but PI/E has gone some way towards meeting the need, at least for some.
