StudioPlus
Designed for professional photographic studios, StudioPlus is a family of software that combines scheduling, marketing, client database, invoicing and order tracking with a complete digital workflow. It is intended to be a complete solution, bringing together other vital software such as Photoshop, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and ICVerify credit card processing into one, seamless suite that can accomplish every task you need to do. It even works with a Palm or Pocket PC handheld computer.
There are five editions of StudioPlus:
- Express: basic features for client tracking, scheduling, invoicing, and even sales presentations and digital workflow
- Standard: as above, with advanced marketing tools and email marketing
- Professional: a complete studio management and digital workflow software system for busy portrait studios
- OnLocation: an add-on workflow product (to Pro edition) for location photographers at schools, sports events, etc.
- Enterprise: with data transfer between individual studios, regional offices, and corporate headquarters
New features in StudioPlus enable users to create custom multi-image composites for many purposes, including multi-image wall portraits, album pages, holiday cards, and sports cards. The photographer can then sit down with the customer and make a selection of pictures to fill the composites, all without needing to use alternative software.
Comment
Like its main competitors (Photo One, for example) StudioPlus integrates with other products to provide a complete range of functionality for photographic studios. For example, it integrates with MYOB accounting software. The OnLocation module is a valuable addition, bringing Wi-Pics integration, bar-coding, hot-folder capture, and digital order taking capabilities that many professionals will find essential.
The whole product line has been reorganized and extended to create a lower entry level price point with the Express version -- and there is a clear upgraded path to multi-user versions.
