Photo-D
Photo-D is a family of one-click photo correction products, available in many different editions. The products are based on innovative digital color imaging technology called Intelligent Expert System (IES). Photo-D is a rule-based expert-system that analyses each image and automatically performs image correction, using fuzzy logic methods and artificial intelligence techniques. It decides automatically which tool to use and determines the correct value of the parameters.
Photo-D corrects for exposure, brightness, contrast, gamma, sharpening, color cast removal and white balance.
Other products in the line-up are:
* Photo-D RAW, a RAW conversion utility that uses the same expert system parameters, with the option to customize them.
* Photo-D Pro Hotfolders, for automatic workflows in the graphic arts and all sizes of photo labs.
Comment
Photo-D is not a consumer product, but is aimed volume users. Some studios have reported that it saves hours of work that would normally be spent correcting photos. It emulates decision-making expertise and makes substantial improvements to image files.
