Onyx PosterShop
For the busy photographic studio, PosterShop supports printing to two inkjet printers simultaneously, with multiple Hot Folders containing all the job settings. Regardless of whether the printers are the same model or different models the RIP ensures a unified workflow.
A step up from the company's entry-level RIPCenter, PosterShop boasts an additional Preflight application for large-format color proofing and printing. The preflight component provides an on-screen proof and tools for correcting color without affecting the original.
A world leader in large format RIP software, Onyx also offers another RIP called ProductionHouse for high production environments. Both PosterShop and ProductionHouse come with a wizard-driven Media Manager application that makes it easier to obtain the right profile for each type of media. It gives you a standard report about how the various media will perform in different applications such as fine art, CAD, signage, POP, proofing and photographic reproduction.

Onyx PosterShop consistently appears on the shortlists of RIPs recommended by experts. It comes with a wide range of screen dot patterns simulating traditional screen printing, together with screen options for spot color separations. It also lets you print with aqueous or solvent inks. These and many other features make it one of the most powerful and versatile RIPs available. It runs on Windows, but, as a network device, can accept images from both Windows and Mac.
