PhotoPRINT
PhotoPRINT is a family of software RIPs, each with a wizard-driven interface for ease-of-use, aimed at corporations and institutions, print shops, design companies and large photographic studios.
The product line has been rationalized from a slightly more complex offering, to comprise the following RIP solutions:
- PhotoPRINT SERVER-PRO: A complete client-server RIP solution package with extended capabilities such as an editor station for layout and design and color profiler for output profile creation and editing.
- PhotoPRINT SERVER: A client-server RIP solution for networks and large production environments, with productivity tools such as Job Priority, Page Nesting and Job Nesting.
- PhotoPRINT DX: A layout package with design capabilities for text, shapes and effects, combined with the versatility to RIP and print to two devices simultaneously.
- PhotoPRINT SE: for the single-workstation environment. It lets you print directly from popular design applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, QuarkXPress, CorelDRAW, and CAD/AEC/GIS engineering solutions.
Comment
Renowned for its ease of use, PhotoPRINT allows you to prepare documents or images for printing by dragging and dropping TIFFs, JPEGs and PDFs directly into the queue. You then have full control over output, using ICC profiles for the chosen printer/ink/media combination.
Recent versions of PhotoPRINT have added many new features, such as a new dithering technology for greater speed and accuracy of ink placement, plus various measures to eliminate stepping, banding and artifacts. You'll also find soft proofing right on the standard toolbar.
