Xenofex 2
Xenofex 2 simulates spectacular natural phenomena such as lightning and clouds; it lets you make striking images using distortions; and it transforms photos into jigsaw puzzles, constellations, and intricate mosaics with one click.
The Filters in Xenofex 2 have evocative names which give a good idea of what they do: Constellation, Electrify, Lightning, Little Fluffy Clouds, Crumple, Flag, Puzzle, Shatter, Stain, Television, Burnt Edges, Classic Mosaic, Cracks, and Rip Open.
Xenofex 2 uses the same interface as the vendor's Eye Candy 4000, familiar to many users.
Comment
Xenofex 2 needs a fast machine with considerably more RAM than the vendor recommends. But it's a lot of fun. The effects are first-rate, easily capable of producing publication-quality work.
Some of the effects are wonderfully subtle, like the Stain filter. This one adds precisely the sort of effect that photo restoration software is designed to eliminate.
