DiALOGUE ES
DiALOGUE ES is a multi-featured online soft-proofing server that allows real-time, remote, collaborative access to any file. Users in the enterprise (ES stands for Enterprise Solution) can review documents visually using a simple web browser.
JDF enabled and color certified (www.swop.org), DiALOGUE ES lets users view high-resolution files, zoom, navigate, place virtual notes, take densitometer readings, check production parameters, validate files and chat in real time -- in the same was permitted by the vendor's original soft-proofing software DALiM DiALOGUE.
DiALOGUE ES also includes the DALiM ViRTUAL LiBRARY page turning application to review project pages.
Comment
The difference between this product and DALiM DiALOGUE is that DiALOGUE ES uses the German vendor's new ES architecture, developed using XML, JDF and AJAX technologies. DiALOGUE ES has a job-based workflow, and defines user roles as "Approver" or "Reviewer" (a person with no approval authority). With this system, photographers, agencies, publishers, packagers, prepress firms and press operators can collaborate more easily.
